As a friend of mine would say "Nuff said"

I though it was semi-realistic......ever tried sprinting down a hill?
As I live in Vermont: Yes. And not once have I ever stepped out into the air and took strides into space before realizing that my feet hand no ground to use for purchase.
Plus this is a game, honestly, ever tried weilding a 40 lb sword made of green glass?

I did once. Hilarity ensued.

I once saw a 45-60lb sword made of steel. It was a proportional replica of the FF7 buster sword. Proportional as in it about 80% as long as an average person is tall.

I've weilded a hand-and-a-half longsword that was about 30 pounds. It's actually crap. I'm in the middle of creating my own two-handed handle for it. The blade is also crap, but it's a good sword to practice with. You should see the notches in that baby.

Damn, what I wouldn't give to be able to create my own. I've been wanting to take up blacksmithing as a hobby, but I live no where that it is possible. No intructors, No room for a forge, no money(i hear an anvil can run up to 500 dollars). Ah well, maybe one day.

Want a cheap anvil? Make friends with someone who has access to a cutting torch. Borrow it, go to an abandoned rail yard, and cut a 18 inch section off the end of an old rail. Cut it into anvil shape with the torch. Viola! Instant anvil.
It worked for my grandfather...

I've wanted to take up smithing as well. I used to live in North Carolina and, after I moved, I found out there was actually a school for blacksmithing not twenty minutes from where I used to live. Not cool.
