Isn't it silly to extinquish (with water arrows) a torch near watching guard and expect him to not react.

At first I didn't like the changes, but now I do. It makes the game more challenging. I usually don't ghost a whole FM, so for me it is ok.

I was playing this mission earlier and took damage from the
frog beasts in the sewer near the house
. Big deal, I know. It took ALL my health but I was still alive! Anyone ever seen this this. Got vids and a save game as well. I can run all over the place and now he's invincible(I vaguely remember someone talking about an invincible Garrett at one point, but can't remember what post or thread it was in)
I've been lurking here for years and never read anything like this so if it's been ask already or a known issue then I'm sorry for the post.

In the safe, probably. Why can't I find my own safe?
I found the obviously dummy code. Then I found the weapons room and the shopping list that I think is the real code. Chopped down the banners in case the safe was there. Still can't find it.
And what's that book that lights up on Garrett's desk but doesn't do anything when it's frobbed? Just had a thought.
Maybe I should go back with my lock picks? Maybe this'll solve two riddles at one time.
Enjoying the game so far. Love the sarcastic cops at the beginning.

:cheeky: Found the safe
while examining the label on a bottle of fine wine
Still don't know what the unfrobbable but light-uppable booklet on the desk is for.

redleaf: there seem to be a lot of 'readables' that are un'readable'... if you know what I mean...
Naks: I'll agree with marycwmbach (I think?) and say 'good first mission!' Still a lot of room for improvement, most of which has already been mentioned... What was the point of the
wall of water on the 3rd floor of the "Crazy Mage's?"
Also, try to avoid whole walls of animation, like the Mage's place.
Anyway -
I think I've reached the end, and I haven't used most of my keys... how do I open the door and shutters by the guard station? how do I get into the double cellar doors by Jack's? UPDATE:
jail key!
How do I open the
snake's head
in his living room? UPDATE:
on top of the dresser!
where do I use the key I found there?

MrMunkeepants
Have you opened the safe under the little pouffe at the top of the stairs at
Jacks.

Just a thought on the framerate issue:
Could it be like the issue in TMA: Blackmail, where a guard wakes up from his bed and gets stuck against the wall. It slowly drags the framerate down until it's unplayable.
A restart solved that problem, and not waking the guard.

i had to stop playing...the lag was making me dizzy and i got tired of reloading and starting over trying to avoid it. it looks like a good mission, and up until i had to stop, was enjoying.
marycwmbach on 17/7/2005 at 08:40
Did you use the same download to reload etc. if you know what I mean. I actually deleted the original download and alll the saves and started over. It then worked for me. It starts playing up near to the beginning. This was a last ditch attempt as the slow frame rate was nausea inducing and I was about to stop altogether.
