Takes a lot longer on Veteran. Took me at least ten hours, maybe more.

Like I said, at least 8 hours on veteran
Yeah like you said, on Veteran it's at least 6 hours. :)

Oops, well okay take eight as the right number. I re-estimated lower 'cause most of you seem to be such efficient gamers. ;)

The Soviet missions in COD5 seem ok. The Marine missions are like, a "worst of COD's AI" collection. "My squad is moving up I should stick with them - oh wait, they totally ignored the 3 enemy soldiers that just shot me in the back." "Hey look, there goes a member of my squad, running right into the middle of a firefight, past 10-15 enemy soldiers, and into a scripted booby trap sequence." And this crap happens nonstop beginning-to-end in every marine mission. It's basic shit that Infinity Ward hasn't had issues with since the first game.
Well I suppose Soviet missions add to the variety instead of playing as the US all the time.

I don't mind playing as the US if it's done well, I just didn't really care that much for the American campaign in COD 4 or 5. In COD 2 I found the Ranger missions to be more enjoyable than the British ones, and I like the Airborne aspect of BiA. I guess I just don't find the marine missions in 4/5 as believable as the other parts of those games. If 6 returns to the modern battlefield, I think I'd prefer the American missions to be more special forces oriented.

CoD 5 is ok, not spectacular, but good in and of itself. Co-op campaign definitely makes things much more interesting, just so long as your partner doesn't randomly Leeroy off into the middle of heavy machine gun fire, that is. :thumb:
I have to admit, the online levels are fun as hell, much more Thief-player friendly than CoD4; especially with a silenced (ok, "suppressed") Thompson with Bandolier and Stopping Power.

If they did more missions like the Pripyat mission of COD4 in COD5 then I would probably play it.
It needs to have some variety is what I'm trying to say, a few sniper missions, some vehicle ones etc. rather than playing marines on the frontlines all the time which gets old fast.

Haven't gotten very far, have you? You have a tank mission, sniper mission, and whatnot in the story mode, you just have to be a bit patient.

There never was a COD3 :)
It's sitting on my XBOX shelf right now. Unless you are just trying to mentally block it out. :D

The first CoD to ever reach consoles was CoD4. :)

Got far in what? I passed COD4 if that's what you mean and found it enjoyable. Haven't got a copy of COD5 yet. I'm just commeting based on what I saw in the gameplay videos.
