Why did Karras want to kill Garrett again?

Who's this "Garret" character?
Karras wanted to kill Garrett because he stands in the way of all of his plans. QFS if you were actually paying attention to the plot AT ALL.

t firstly because he has a deal with Truart to get rid of him, and then because he stands in the way of all of his plans. QFS if you were actually paying attention to the plot AT ALL.
I was paying attention to the plot the whole time buddy, but I must of just missed the part when the storyline points out why Karras is against Garrett.
And how was Garrett trying to stop Karras? I remember Karras was the one who hired Truart to kill Garrett. And why would Karras want to kill Garrett in the first place when he never had a thing for the Mechanists?

Through means we're not aware of, Karras knew a great deal about Garrett. He was once a Hammerite, and based on comments he makes in Soulforge, it seems he was the one who created Garrett's mechanical eye.
If this is the case, no doubt he knew who Garrett was, and that he had managed to defeat The Trickster. Karras probably wanted Garrett out of the way as extra protection. If Garrett could defeat a god, what would there be to stop him from bringing his own plans to a halt? Hiring Truart to kill Garrett was probably just him being extra careful, not wanting to take any risks.
Of course, this backfired, and brought forth Garrett's interest in the Mechanists. It may even be possible that by involving Garrett at all, Karras spelled out his own downfall.

It's likely that Karras got a hold of the prophecies which would include Garrett and that Garrett was the key to his downfall. It was the influence of the Keepers that gave Garrett his eye I bieleive and so the Keepers and Karras had some sort of possible deal about divulging prophecy.

that's the stupidest idea i ever heard.
i'm more inclined to agree with t-smith.

I'm liking your logic. So basically in a nutshell, we
really do not know why Karras was against Garrett in the first place, right? Since the story does not point this out to us. Our best bet is that his fanatacism towards his religion and how the religion prophesized that Garrett will destroy Karras is why Karras has a hostility towards Garrett.
P.S= Garrett was a Hammerite? I thought he was recruited by the Keepers into their "clan" when he was a little boy because they seemed to have found talent in him for sneaking around.
P.S 2 = What's the difference between a rope and vine arrow? I've still yet to figure that out.

Vine arrows can be stuck to grill surface, besides wooden.
