I still think the best co-op game ever was the original Unreal. The levels were large and the locations varied greatly from one another. People still play it now!

Sure, Serious Sam was good, but it just gets boring after a wile. One can only strafe and shoot a constant stream of monsters for so long before it becomes a chore. SS:TSE did have beautiful environments though.
