So,... what's the situation on the Dark engine source code? - by Cliftor

What about opendarkengine!? Sure rekrul, It's development wouldn't be foolproof, but the Dark Engine itself wasn't so foolproof either... Much like the source code for Starwars: Dark Forces (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jedi_engine) Jedi Engine (yes, yes, it was never released, but is available within the executable files of Darf Forces itself. Yeh, this is a random mention, but I'm a geek, live with it...)

Good news! René has responded and has informed me that he will try to help us to contact Eidos.
Bad news! At this moment, our new petition has just 113 votes. Why so small?! Could we be more active, taffers?

Maybe a separate thread in the FM forum - urging people to sign? (Apologies if there was one already, I did look...)
Also a little advertising elsewhere (eidos forums, TDM?) might help.

You should definitely create separate thread (I had to find the petition link in this one) and inform TTLG users that Rene promised us to help.

All that's needed is to contact right person(s) from Eidos and link them to these forums.
PS: Right person is one who a) has real influence for our case b) does care.

snobel: I've send an e-mail (yesterday and today) to TTLG.com, ThiefMissions.com and KoMaG.net, but they did not responded yet :(. Does anybody know how to persuade them to help us? Perhaps they don't want to hear me due to some reason, unknown to me :(.
242: "Piece o'cake"! I don't know not right nor any other person at Eidos, except René. Do you? Seems that nobody from Eidos love their foster child, Thief, because they simply ignore Thief community :(.
About new topic: Ok, but, I think, this topic should be sticky. jtr7, is it possible?
jtr7 on 5/5/2009 at 11:51
I don't think they'll make it a sticky unless there really is a great chance it will make a significant difference. I think René is our best chance ever, if he has the right connections to get an official response for us to know whether to keep at it. But as long as there's something worth talking about, the thread will keep getting bumped.:erg:

First of all, make the petition link more visible. Right now it is buried inside this thread.
