Has anyone out there tried the sold out software thief collection? It is on DVD and includes all three games (with gold instead of dark project). It touts itself as Vista compatible and after an unsucessful 4 hr attempt to get T2 running on my laptop, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it and if it is any easier to use on a modern comp than the original discs?
thanks for the feedback...

I have a version of the DVD set. I am running it on XP but I would check the specs of your laptop. The video card ability is a major factor. Is your Laptop one that came with VISTA or did you install it yourself.
Also, some video cards/drivers won't work well with THIEF. Is your processor (CPU) a multi-core (AMD II, or Intel dual or more core)? Thief won't run with multicore processors. You need to set the infinity to a SINGLE CORE.
It always helps if you tell the forums the CPU, Video card and other information about the system you are trying to use.

I have "The Thief collection" and "Thief the complete collection (includes Thief Gold)" the later (other too) works fine and a bonus is The complete collection allows NO-CD play. You still have to apply dual core patches and so on but it runs fine on vista x64 here
