For what it's worth, in the end I think everyone honestly gets what they come here for. For some, it's for gaming chat or rehashing what was wrong with Thief 3. For others, it's to discuss topics of the day, who died recently, or what they saw on YouTube. For me, it's just to hang out and shoot the shit with others that enjoy doing the same thing.

This is what's great about this place, regardless of supposed divisions--we get what we came here for AND can all get along if we chose to.

Plus, where else can you go for instant help with Dromed questions or constant banter about a recent FM--certainly not the official Thief forum.

...so I guess I'm of the mind of: Let it go, guys.

Or you could always just do that, since its your argument and all. Obviously your basing all of this accusation on SOMETHING, so just go ahead and show the posts/threads that made you decide to post in this thread. Provide links. Provide quotes. If you still won't do that, the only reasonable conclusion is that you cannot.

That wouldn't make me point to your continuing lack of work as "proof" that Comchat is right, just proof that your particular arguments cannot be verified by facts..

At first I thought this thread was funny in a kind of pathetic way (yeah I must be in a clique, then :rolleyes:) but now I'm just dismayed, and truly saddened by the amount of vitriolic resentment some people expressed here. It's no longer a question of CommChat vs. ThiefGen. It's a question of going out in the fresh air, soak up some sunlight and examine your priorities. Dammit people, it's a web forum for Pete's sake. You don't have to get you panties in a twist over anything. Log off and get a glass of water, and look at the futility of your quibbles.

I'm not kidding. The "Get a life" is an overused cliché I know, but fuck it, people, just look at yourself. You're spewing so much bile over nothing.

And finally, what is one to make of a series of posts stating that we all should be able to post what we want anywhere we want, while simultaneously or alternately being upset that people are doing just that? I don't know how to respond to that constructively and honestly.
