Hmmm, well, in 'Set Affinity' I have CPU 0, and CPU 1, it is checked on 0, so your saying to move it to CPU 1?

okay, i dunno how to fix your problem, shroud, that's a new one on me. are you sure that's 1.03? i've never heard of such a version. the version i have is 1.9. no patch exists for thief gold btw as it is essentially a "fully patched" version of thief (think of it as something like duke nukem atomic edition, which had all the features of duke3d 1.3 (the original version) but was version 1.5, and featured a new episode and other content. but you had to pay for it.)
To be safe, I just took a look at the "readme" documentary file within my Thief Gold folder. It's dated and marked as, "September 16th, 1999 Version 1.03". I'm going to do a bit of digging and try to double check on that just to be certain, as I'm sharing this computer with someone else at the moment (makes it tricky to try fixing all this at my leisure ;) ).
Mounce, I think you're correct about us having the same basic problem and just having two different versions. I bought my copy of Thief Gold here in the USA when it first came out; as far as I know, there haven't been any more recent versions re-released for more updated computers or anything like that, although I could be wrong (please feel free to correct me on this point if I am incorrect about anything, dethtoll ;) ).

I tried switching CPU, doesn't do anything
any Video settings i should have it at? or should i have certain things checked off in the Compilation in the Properties? should i have restarted my computer after installation? should i Uninstall and try again?
EDIT: Idunno, all i know my version is 1.37, isn't the higher it is the better? so why is yours lower?

what i do, is i uncheck CPU1 and leave CPU 0 checked.
Mounce on 13/9/2006 at 06:08
well, it was originally on 0, and doesn't work if i switch them.......;\
june gloom on 13/9/2006 at 09:33
wtf do you mean "switch"?
what are you seeing? it SHOULD look like this:
CPU 0 [x]
CPU 1 [x]
CPU 2 [ ]
CPU 3 [ ]
etc.
just uncheck CPU 1.
Mounce on 13/9/2006 at 20:31
for me it looked like this before i changed anything
CPU 0 [x]
CPU 1 [ ]
CPU 1 wasn't checked off, only CPU 0, when i say 'Switch' i mean, take off CPU 0's checkmark, and check off CPU 1.....

june gloom on 14/9/2006 at 01:45
... the pentium is your processor.
