Okay here's the deal in order to figure out whether my issue with the safe in the FM Rogues Honor is caused by it being incompatible with New Dark.I need to make a second install of Thief Gold and Thief 2 without New Dark. But here is a list of the problems I've been having
1.I have had to do this several times because the first time ended up with twos screwed up installs.
I think my Thief Gold installs are all set.For my new dark one I just installed it from GOG.com then patched with the most recent non beta version of Tfix. For the old version I installed it from my old disk of the collection because the GOG version kept of giving me issues after I did everything, the menus would look all messed up.
2.I had less trouble with Thief 2 just installed it from GOG and patched with Tafferpatcher one that included New Dark and and one the didn't for each respective install and I put in the non new dark executable provided in the backup folder packaged with GOG releases which now defaults to New Dark.I then installed T2X to the New Dark Version only and added the T2X Fix and the Blackjack Mod.The game starts up and plays fine but the movies will not play in game. They work fine if I click on the files in the movies folder but they will not play in-game.
Can you please help me and please give me some advice if I did anything wrong in making both a New Dark install and Classic Install.
Please Help I've been dying to resume going through most FMs.

For your movies issue, make sure that the ffmpeg.dll and lgvid.dll files from the NewDark distribution (the other .DLLs too, but those are for movies) are in the same folder as the game .EXE file. (Tafferpatcher does this for you, but if you have made an old-style install of T2X with a separate .EXE in a separate folder, you'll need to take care of that copy yourself.)

as long as NewDark is installed properly, reboot the machine and movies should work. as for menus being messed up after applying TFix, this usually happens when the game is installed in a protected folder (program files), and the patcher is prevented from writing all required files properly.

Putting copies of those two files into my t2x folder fixed it.By the way I didn't make a classic install of T2X only a New Dark one since I didn't have to since I had no problem completing with New Dark and my secondary classic installs are just for Pre-New Dark FMs.
Thanks for the help.:)
