It more annoying than dangerous, unless you get fired for using the wrong word in the wrong group at the wrong time. Heaven help you if you are white, go to a rap concert, chant along (no, it is not singing), and some ass-hat posts a short video of you doing this. You WILL get death threats, be fired, be beaten, have news media all up in your face, and will not be able to show yourself in public fort least 2 weeks. Then some other nit wit will get the shaming treatment on the internet and you will get forgotten. Moral of the story? If you are white, don't act black, Mexican, or any other race or ethnicity that is not yours. It is fine that they can make all the fun and mock you all they want, but you must not do the same to them. This is done in the name of payback. While I did not "do" anything to these people, but it is apparently my cross to bare.

Also, yahoo comments now represent the official state position, apparently.
...fuck, I hope they don't start applying the same stringency to youtube comments. Jesus.

That is where public opinion is gauged and what the political class uses to adjust their responses. These crazy posts on Yahoo, Face Book, You Tube, etc, are not skewed by engineered polling questions. They are skewed by the content of the article or video, but not as much as "Do you still hate Mexicans? Yes or No?" type questions of the older type of yellow journalism. In other words, they are better raw data than polls. However, the sample is terrible since it is filled with trolls, basement dwellers, and all around fap-fap hounds.
I don't think we can agree on anything here. Those people commenting ARE real. That is the future. Get used to it.

Nice hit peace from a guy swimming in his own spunk. He must love the smell of his farts. And you went all the way back to 2012 to get that diatribe of horse shit. Isn;t it wonderful that I can call it that, while you can praise it as your gospel? That is what freedom is all about. Dig it dude.
I earned my way. No one is is entitled to the fruits of my labor, except me and those I deem are worthy of my largesse. In many decades past, I used to be a little whiny shit that expected a 4 bedroom house and 3 cars - without much work at all to show for it. "Hey!" I said, "I am so super ultra special and the whole world owes me a life because I am the greatest of all time!" No one at the time listened. So I grew up and worked to get the things I wanted. I paid my dues. Maybe some others need to learn this lesson.
Ok Koyla, you win the prize today for getting under my skin a little. My BP is 118/55 and pulse is 70, so I think I am not that pissed off… Cheers! :cheeky:

You should probably get tested for caffeine intolerance.

And for those that were spewing hate toward one of the greatest comics off all time, George Carlin...
Spewing hatred? I thought somebody called the Hyperbole Police on you already. Who posted bail?
On one thread you are extolling the importance of free speech and how not to be a sheep...
"Everything seems either right or wrong with many people. No more greys. All is either black or white and all must bow down to the authority that tells you what is correct."
YEAH! Crush the state! Question authority! Buck the trend! Run with the goats! Yet when someone makes a categorical criticism (i.e. specific, contextual, qualified), of one of your icons, they are hateful PC blah blah libtard blah blah...
Because we all know that Carlin is unassailable and we should never question His authority or that of His hordes of fans.
Now go back and read what Faetal and I wrote, then read what you wrote. Repeat until things become more, how did you put it... grey?
Now make up your fucking mind. Can we disagree in a thoughtful, civilised manner or not? Can we talk greys or is it just black and white? Can you walk your talk?
Because your kindly curmudgeon schtick is worn out already. You aren't the only grumpy old fuck with an opinion on this board. You aren't the oldest, you aren't the first, you aren't the grumpiest, you aren't the most intellectually consistent or honest, and you are by no means the most articulate. Your passive aggressive act is not putting anything over on anybody. It's just tiresome.
We know you are an asshole. You aren't alone. Be proud. Welcome to ComChat. Stop clearing your throat and spit it out, for fuck's sake!

Wow Nicker, I must have hit a nerve there. If one cannot read in the sarcasm, then I must have failed. Hey, I really dislike some of George Carlin's later work myself, especially that work that is truly hateful. I also don't agree with 40% of Chris Roc's comedy, but I still watch his gigs for the funny 60%. Sometimes I even learn something and change my mind.
So now I have been labeled a hateful, intolerant, old curmudgeon. Oh, and grumpy too. Wow.
Back on topic:
I was pleased to read that Hammond and May will not do the show without Clarkson. Frankly I think the show had jumped the shark long ago. The travel episodes became too similar. The schtick too frequent. Not enough information and too much clowning. Oh well, it is over.

Top Gear used to be a quirky car show back in the '80s and and '90s. These days, it's more stage managed. The painfully obvious scripted studio segments are just cringe-inducing.
bjack on 19/3/2015 at 17:35
You know, I almost completely agree with that - not exactly cringe-inducing to me, but the later seasons were not really worth watching. I used to watch it all the time, but not so much now.
But I will say that the American version is 10X worse than the UK show. The forced chemistry/chumminess is tedious. The spots are inane. I saw 2 shows and was done. I thought it may do better after a while and looked again, probably in the second season. It was a carbon copy of the UK show, with the same bad jokes and rutting around. Still bad. I don't even know if they are making new ones. Anyone else have an opinion of the American Top Gear?
