On EASY level, a dead pagan is very near the ritual place, but his body doesn't active the final trigger. glitch.
The "beatle" pagan seems to be available only on EXPERT level.
The dead female pagan near the stairs to the ritual area is cleverly concealed in darkness. I've only noticed her on EXPERT level. I don't know if she always dead or just falls off the second floor ledge.
A patrolling female on the second floor (near the GEAR before crossing the bridge) usually falls off the ledge and dies. This seems like an accidental patrol glitch error, but dead is dead and you can use her in the ritual.
btw, death or knock-out from slipping on OIL seems not to affect stats. Gas arrows or gas bombs don't affect stats.

Dussander, I'll have to try that next time, but I'm skeptical. All that guard does is stare at the chest! I can't imagine him glancing away long enough for me to pick the lock in bright light just a few feet in front of him. I'll definitely give it a shot, though.

I reinstalled thief ds and I'm almost at Moira's mansion (I'm in the Abysmal Gale right now) . I'm gonna try ghosting it using absolutely nothing and see about that guard too.

She was there when I first played through on EASY and on NORMAL. I think she must fall off the ledge because the last time I did it a few days back I couldnt find her
