in bafford's manner, when you take the outside shortcut to the throne room (through the wall) in that room, there seems to be something behind that hallway. i was never good at using dromed, could someone take a gander for me?

If it's what I think you're talking about, then you should be able to have a look for yourself by opening up the the console in-game.
Go in-game, get into place, and press Ctrl+P (it may be different for you). Type
light_bright and hit Enter.
Jump up and down and look around.
Grab a crate if jumping around is too annoying.
Open up the console and retype the light_bright command to bring back the shadows.
If you have Thief Gold, the Blooper Reel easter egg mission has a plaque on the wall at the spot telling you about that mistake the game was shipped with.
Here's a crappy video of it:

Is there anything, jtr7, that you don't have either a youtube or some other nugget of information for. I'm almost tempted to load up T1 just to have a look!!!!!!!

What astounds me, is that I find something new (to me) every week regarding these games!

i agree. though, i received a copy of thief gold (upgraded from my original blue copy), and so far, the guild mission is probably the longest mission I've done. then again, this is my first run on it, so it's to be expected. i remember the bank taking me a pretty long time in T2. though, i'm still not fond of all the zombie missions in T1 (the undead kinda bug me in their implementation, especially since you have to use your water arrows.)

You could try hiding and sneaking. Most of the Undead missions can be done without killing a single spectre, zombie or haunt. :)

True, which is how i usually go through it. i'm playing my first expert exclusive run through Thief Gold. I'm about to do the sword, but it's been slow going. i tend to run out of equipment, and sadly, the good stuff (just about everything weapon wise aside from the blackjack, gas arrows, and rope arrows) are off limits. though, i do say if your cheap, broadheads make a FAR better choice than Noisemakers, and for a fraction of the cost.

If you come up to a corner, find a shadow and just wait for a while. If you hear footsteps, then listen to get an idea of the route, and just time your movements to those of the guard.
You don't need to expend too many water arrows or other if you just WAIT and listen.
The Sword is fun, confusing as hell, but fun, and contains lots of gear you can add to your inventory and use.
PS: Except for the noise, Broadheads are good against the froggies.
