that would be cool and ive tried to do it for months but you cant which sucks but then you would have to script all different endings and missions it would be like an entireley different game which wold take forever to make

What exactly happens in the game if you try to kill Tong? I know if you try to kill Simons or Gunther earlier then possible they are invincible, does the same thing apply to average people like Jacobson and Tong?

Dunno about Tong, but I do know that if you shoot Tong's door man (something Quick) and turn him against you, there is little if any hope of completing the game. Why? Because in a few key parts in Hong Kong you are required to talk to Quick to gain enterance to Tong's place, but if he doesn't like you, you can't talk to him and thus the game doesn't let you go on (once he gets mad at you it's permanent - going to different areas or waiting doesn't make him "nice" to you again).

Days--err, Deus Ex II will hopefully change that.

This conversation just made me think of something. What if you decide not to do what paul says, and instead shoot him. Is he invincible as well? Either before or after you go to the terrorist base, but before you transmit the warning.
Amorpheus on 22/8/2001 at 10:53
He should be, since the game doesn't allow you to screw up that way.

You bet he is. I once cheated and tried to kill him, but he lived after I used enough firepower to blow up the remains of the statue. :p

A favorite memory: I shot Paul on the docks then hid in the water while he ran overhead searching for me. After a bit, he said somthing like, "Come on, JC, we need to learn to trust each other." I figured it was safe to come out ... unfortunately, he was still just a bit irate, and he killed me. :D

As humans we are all bitches to a greater subconscious controled by the collective of emotion and thought of all living things. We are bitches to ourselves and everyone else simply because of our own willpower. It would make sense that in RPG's we are ment to benefit from being bitches to other people. Iv'e never played Baulder's Gate but I have played Diablo, and when you finish a quest you have a net result of personal gain from it. Hell, when you beat the lord of terror himself in the second game he drops a whole shitload of goodies. Only in understanding our natural instincts to bend to each others will, can we overcome it.
