Does anyone know where I can get hold of thief sound bites? All I can find is music mixes and such on fan websites, and I really want just phrases. :)

I assume he means in the actual game sound files. You need to open up snd.crf in your \res folder (for T2, in T1 it's called \crfs) with a ZIP file program, and dig through the many, many WAV files to find what you need. You shoudl look in the appropriate subfolder based on the speaker (Garrett, Guard2, etc.)
If you have one particular line you're looking for, we can probably direct you to it.

I was gonna wait for her to answer, since she mentioned fansites, soundbites, music mixes. No mention of the obvious source: the game-files.
If somebody out there has grouped the conversations together, compiled the individual comments, AND made them available, I haven't heard of it.
I know there are many such works done for one's own amusement--like an audio CD of the conversations from one of the games--but they aren't available for download.
