Wow. I don't know anything about the Warhammer universe but that was fantastic. Slick, meaty and with plenty of orc-smashing variety, this is now on my to-buy list.

It looks quite colourful, which makes a pretty big change from the drab browns/greys of gears and similar games.
Something is missing though and I think its the atmosphere. I'm hoping it was because the demo was so short and there was no fluff build-up pre-mission.
I know that Relic have made an effort to be faithful to the tabletop origin, particularly in regards to character design, but I think they could have been a bit more inspired. As is, they look too caricatured/cartooney, which detracts from the mean bloody grimdark setting.

Orks are meant to be a cartoon.

Yeah, I'm very disappointed that they went with Orks/SM/Chaos again. DoW was getting interesting with the expansions for different races. But then they reset it for DoW2. And Space Marine. Ugh.
Demo's not bad, though crazy short. But it's certainly better than nothing! I guess it gives you a good feel for the basic combat, which I actually find pretty nice. The Bolter feels great. As does the jump-pack.

I do wish there were more Tyranids all up ins.

Too many people would probably have been all 'olols Colonial Marines cash-in'.

Finally got to give it a solid run though.
Do the rest of you have trouble with settings not sticking in the demo? I have to change resolution on every start.
Melee combat is kind of meh. It's not bad per se - just very derivative. If your game's melee combat is going to feel like a reskin of Darksiders, it's probably not a good idea to give out Darksiders as a pre-order bonus. Executions are kind of unfulfilling too - far too slow to make sense in the extremely hectic combat, and not visceral enough. Well, except for the boot kill one, anyway, and the poweraxe is better, so maybe it's just the chainsword.
Shooting is lots of fun too, with a very nice snap on a kill. Does a good job of making it clear a bolter is not just a big rifle, and just feels right.
The jet-pack must be a one-off, only on a few select levels thing - otherwise it's just stupidly overpowered.
Fun though, definitely looking forward to the whole game. Wish it hadn't been just Orks/Chaos again - but maybe it will get the expansion treatment the way Dawn of War has.

From what I've seen of the game (Giant Bomb QL), they treat is the tame way as in the demo - i.e., you run across a drop pod with a jetpack, then at some stage it just falls off with an accompanying explanation by one of your companions.
