I'm catching up with the past few years of missions and just started playing the 48 hr Contest missions. I've played through three so far (Music of Sibel, Double or Quits, & Half Assed Wedding) which have been quite enjoyable. I'm looking forward to playing the rest this week. I'd love to see some more missions like these. I'm always amazed by how talented y'all are.

I also hope for more input into a number of threads but people seem to be having a quiet time these days. It doesn't mean that threads aren't being read though.
I do think this is true or at least for me, it is true. Another reason could be that there might be less fan mission creators in the forums nowadays.
As for me, I've always been a silent lurker since forever and I would just check back now and then to download some new fan missions to play. I was hoping that the 2014 Thief reboot will revitalize this community with new people but it doesn't appear to be the case. Nonetheless, I appreciate everyone who has put in their time to make all these superb fan missions for all of us here.
I can't say much about the contest since I haven't tinkered with Dromed at all :P but I do hope that this contest won't detract people from their own projects.

Wrong! Each time someone leave, a new mapper is joining!
Of course the ancients leave with their knowledge while the others need to learn everything from the start and they are not always replaced. But we still being numerous! I'm sure of that!
There are no less fan mission creator, it is fan mission which needs more time to be created because newdark gave us the ability to build more ambitious and huge missions with different effect due to materials and then players expect missions with more quality and originality. Then we needs to take our time and do our best to do something you like. Even if we remain the master of our own work, it is always better to submit a mission that people will enjoy ;)
But I'm talking about players, but we are responsible too of this large building delay. Because we like challenge and then we challenge ourself by trying to construct our master-piece each time then more works for us! :)
