Speedruns are fun when entire levels can be skipped by clever tricks.
Somebody did that with an original Fallout run, I remember.
I'm also impressed by ones that require really careful movement or thinking, like speedruns of games like Another World.

Oh, and my favs include the ss2coop-run and the never finished chaos theory run by "mrguytodd" in addition to the abovementioned deus-ex run. HL2 run is still really entertaining to watch, too.
