i ghosted jefferson airfield and 3rd echelon. only kill is the sec card in 3rd echelon which is mandatory and the 3 cells.
Huh? How'd you get through the very last part of the airfield (just before the gate)? Perfectly timed EMP 'nade? Or how'd you get through the closing security doors in the 3rd echelon? Seemed to me that the time given by flashbangs and such wasn't enough.
The one I meant was the amusement park (Washington monument? Well, some monument anyway), although, because of the tails, it doesn't count as totally ghosting come to think of it.

Fuck that part with the receptionist.
Seconded. Man, I hated that part.

iraq is so stupid. but hey, you can just skip chapters after one playthrough, no matter which difficulty it was. and yeah, the AI is pretty stupid but all in all I think this works much better than e.g. Velvet Assassin.

echelon:
- closing security doors is easy:
the secretary goes down, immediately hide before her table where you are standing
guy behind in the booth starts exiting it. this moment run forward and jump THROUGH the glass into the booth he just left. He will be alerted but not return into the room but rather go outside and guard the broken window.
then stick to the right side of the hallway, before you enter the next one wait until the security door reached the lowest point were you can slide under, activate emp, slide, run to window and jump out. the break alerts the other 2 guards in the sec-hallway. shimmy along to the end of the hallway on the outside and run into the building. piece of cake.
airfield:
do you mean the room with the 3 security guards where you have to push the lever to exit ?
- circle the security booth to the backside. hide under the window. OPEN ! the window but don't enter. they will freak out inside and start investigating. use that time to circle to the front of the building, open that window, get inside, pull the lever, it goes dark for a second, jump out window and exit through the door in fence.
after that section is a weapon stash. DO NOT OPEN IT. you will be in the main LOS of the guards of the last level. either wait till its clear to refill gadgets or ignore it.

Heh, well it does sound easy. I guess the unskippable cutscene somewhat put me off from experimenting with that scene.

Oooo, clever. Too bad opening/breaking windows/doors and turning lights on/off are pretty much the only ways to create distractions in this installment. However, I meant the very last place in the mission where there is one guy in the shack with the lever which you must flip before being able to extract, and something like 5-7 guys patrolling the area in search mode.

Finished this game, a couple years too late, but actually, despite the action stuff, enjoyed it tremendously. It's got some very annoying parts, to be sure, but much better than Double Agent (which I don't even remember playing - but I did...). I'm actually playing through a second time now, right after finishing the game. Plus, the Deniable Ops levels are very cool, too.
