What about the black bird - a crow or a raven, between the head and the fetus?
The Raven is an important figure in Native Americans' believes, often playing the role of (SURPRISE SURPRISE) a trickster god.

Crows are also renowned for stealing shiny objects, and also as omens of doom.

Ooh, speculation threads. I always like these. *grins* Although I can't offer a lot of insight here, I did have a few thoughts.
One being. . .poor crow/raven. Why do they always get stuck with the bad reps? Ok, so I like those birds. THey're cool, and quite intelligent. I just feel bad they are so despised and stuck with all the negative reputations. Sheesh. They only do their jobs, after all. *coughs* Ok
Anyway, the shrunken - or shriveled, at least - head might have something to do with a few things. Either "This is what happens to those who fail me" or something indicating those he has conquered. Its definitely something done to enemies, and if the display is for Garrett's benefit (as opposed to something thats displayed anyway), then it might have a 'warning' of what would happen to him. (after his eye was stolen they were planning on killing him. . .or letting him be killed)
As for that gourdy thing at the far left. . .I'm going to take a wild leap here and guess that its a 'jacksberry', as referenced in his rant when Garrett was down later. ". . .then feed for I am the honeymaker, and the jacksberry!" As for the almonds - if thats what they are (and not stones) well, almonds do generally go well with honey. . .lol
Anyway, thats a couple ideas. Is this really Viktoria's apartment? I always assumed it was some room in Constantine's mansion. Although, I suppose at that stage in the game, Garrett would have suspected something if she had brought him back *there*. (Silly boy should have suspected something anyway. Didn't take a genius to see she was up to no good. :P)

So now we have eight items, the clock says it's eight o'clock,
the end-game involves eight items... Not really a pattern, yet.
could it be perhaps, that they were also working, or had finished (cant remember exactly) one or both of the Ultima Underworld games? in Britannia, the most recurring number there is 8: 8 primary companions, 8 virtues, 8 shrines, 8 dungeons, 8 cities tied to the virtues, etc. Perhaps it was inspired by this little ditty, as kind of a respectful nod to one of the best RPG series of all time. :thumb:

there was also a nasty rumor about them worshiping the head of John the Baptist, mentor of Jesus.
Cool. Lobbed-head worshipping! :cheeky:

Methinks someone needs to turn these into game-world objects and give us a nice FM of re-collecting Constantine's collection.
Stealing The Sword back from Garrett should also be included. ;)
