What the fuck?! Discussing SecuROM on the Spore forum, means risking having your Spore game account being banned? So you'd have to re-buy the game? Am I reading that properly?

Fucking disgusting. EA needs to be boycotted by everyone for this shit.

Thank fuck. I can actually go and buy it now with no reservations. As long as my PC doesn't crash on me. It's been acting slightly weird lately.

I know you basement dwellers love getting riled up by DRM and all but can we get some actual discussion of Spore rolling here?

I'm finding the game to be oddly annoying. Each stage so far is increasingly difficult, but not in a challenging way so much as a "let's toss wave after wave of enemies at you until you figure out the one trick to beating a stage" kind of way. I have yet to pass the Civ stage because (1) one neighbor just keeps hammering away at my religious civ and (2) constant city defense is ridiculously tedious. I've figured out the basic way to beat this one--create a fleet of culture planes and just go on a conversion world tour lol--but goddamn does this not seem like a good usage of my valuable personal time.

Allowing more than one save per stage would help.

Based on Stitch's and others' impressions, the DRM issue is the most interesting aspect of the game.

Other than the Eno-generated music.

Hey, EA, I know you sold the creature creator separately, how about the AI that generates the soundtrack?

Second choice: Hey Firaxis, how about releasing a version of the music generator from SMAC and tie that in with local weather reports or some calculation derived from the date and time?
