Nooo, this is not a cry for (
http://www.spotify.com) Spotify invites, already fixed access for myself.
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotify) WHAT IS SPOTIFY??Okay, so I did search for 'Spotify' on the TTLG forums - and found nothing? Wtf? No one here heard about it or what... :p
Anyways, I just got started with it today actually. It's just like what happened when Facebook got popular, I start using it when it's old news (although Spotify isn't really old news yet).
So, anyone here using Spotify and want to share playlists?
I gotta say I'm quite impressed at the large volume of music they've got, and streaming music (legally) for free with ads, or for a small amount of money per month, is a good thing, especially since it seems to work quite good.

I got an invite from a friend around christmas and it has since completely replaced my iPod/iTunes as my primary source of music. What can I say? It kicks ass, even though it doesn't have
everything. I was quite surprised to find that they didn't have a single Pink Floyd album. Anyway, cool shit I've discovered so far: Kathy McCarty's album of Daniel Johnston covers, The Pixies, Cage, Atmosphere, an album of Radiohead hip-hop remixes, bossa nova, a bunch of christmas songs that DON'T suck, Four Tet's remix of Madvillain's "Money Folder" oh my god, Kronos Quartet's "Black Angels" album, and bunch of other stuff.
Here are the best two playlists I've made so far:
(
http://open.spotify.com/user/leemajorz/playlist/2L62LgMhF8a57JaslRZb2q) Miserable Git Mix (K. McCarty, F. Sinatra, N. Cave, Cohen, Dylan, Dinah Washington etc.)
(
http://open.spotify.com/user/leemajorz/playlist/32rwoQQbzeaEenUKDsbdiz) flowin' (hip-hop, underground & mainstream: MF Doom, Wu-Tang, Busta Rhymes, Mr. Lif, Atmosphere, Esoteric, Boomkat, Jedi Mind Tricks, Multicyde, Kool Keith, Cage etc.)
Sadly, I hear that from next week the entire Spotify catalogue will be reduced though. :(

Spotify has loads of potential and with support of the labels, it could grow. The thing is the easyness. You can get any album with about two clicks and 5 seconds. Faster than p2p. If you're not one of those people who only accept FLAC (although they can't hear the difference with their crappy pc speakers), it is the best thing ever.
Anyways, the labels are fucking up already. (
http://www.alymysto.com/2009/01/29/region-restrictions-in-a-world-with-no-borders/) Here's a good blog entry about the region restrictions that were implemented on Spotify. I did one myself, but it's in Finnish so it's useless to link.

Probably a virus you caught while downloading the Abba discography.

It's an artist thing--feeling sad for a shuck of wheat.
...did that say something about "Itchin' Dick?"
