Yeeeaaaah!
It's like you can easily ignore the stuff you're not interested in and everything
Yeah but what about the times when I just want to make a quick post about (for example) buying Descent 1 and 2 on gog.com to play at my girlfriend's house (because her cheap laptop can't play anything modern) and the OpenGL source port working very well and me recommending it? I could do that kind of post in the What Are You Playing thread, but now I'd have to make a separate thread about Descent, an ancient game hardly anyone cares about anymore and really not worth making a thread about.

OK fatties, we're gonna see how it goes because we're all getting worryingly used to looking at everything in a (
www.facebook.com) massive fucking list. We'll have a vote on it in a few months and if you want facebook mentality back you can have it.
Harvester - Maybe I couldn't give a damn if you dug Descent out and have the revelation we should all start playing a 14-year old game because someone with nothing better to do made an OpenGL version - but yeah, what's wrong with "Open GL port available for Descent" as a thread? Or "Ports of classic games"? Nothing. Awesome. Go do it. If it's not of interest it'll eventually sink to the bottom of the forum.
A separate forum for mobile gaming isn't such a bad idea.

An iOS exclusive developer? Ignoring the massive Android market is pretty boneheaded, but if they don't like getting even more money then whatever.
I have Flight Control on my Windows Phone 7 (and still branded FireMint), so they're not iOS exclusive. I notice there's an Android version but it says the developer is Namco Networks, so I guess they farmed it out.

SA-style tags might work. vBulletin has the ability to do prefixes: (

I was
this close to buying the iOS version of Sims 3 the other day when it was 79 cents, so you're not far off. And so what anyway? I got DXHR falling into my mailbox in the next few days and I've been playing a lot of Frozen Synapse recently. I'm not really hung up on the distinction between hardcore and casual gaming.
EvaUnit02 on 28/8/2011 at 14:48
the sims isn't even a game, it's a second job but with no financial gain.

oh is that what it is? ok

With due respects to dethtoll's MP thread.
With the logic behind why you shut down the "What are you playing?" megathread I think you should also consider, seriously, a multiplayer-only subforum with dedicated threads to meet-up and schechule for games. Yes, this can be done in PM -when- you already have someone to play with, but looking for peeps to play X or Y game, it would be like them "Male seeks company..." paper ads, hopefully with less hairy woman soliciting. Eventually the MP thread will suffer from the same problem as a MegaThread, so, please consider it.

Are you pushing that again, Duck? Seriously, the old thread is collecting dust as it is; an entire subforum will just be empty.
Mr.Duck on 29/8/2011 at 02:14
I'll risk it. Not like there aren't any other empty TTLG subforums. So I'm sure one more won't hurt you, nor the admins. Worth a shot.
Now, give us a kiss :D
