actually I'm glad Ubisoft didn't grab Eidos, they create only average games for everyone. :eww:
A Final Fantasy-looking travesty is preferable to an "average" game? Are you sick or somethin?
Beleg Cúthalion on 20/2/2009 at 20:33
Well, a Final-Fantasy-Travesty is at least somehow homogeneous and consequent. :p

Of course, by sick I meant physically, not mentally. :p

As Teal'c would put it: Indeed.
Woot? Damnit, i'm supposed to say those exact words. I really do.
Also, by the looks of it, maybe none of the game industries could nowadays make a good Thief. I'm no expert though, only in thieving itself.

I have no idea how this will really affect Eidos, besides SE financial backing.
To be honest, I never believed, that Thief IV would materialise at all. It's a miracle TDS got made in the first place nearly 5 years ago. And since it closed the whole story arc and LGS's original plans for a possible trilogy, the devs at ISA made it while being aware of it as the apparent swan song of the whole series.
I doubt we'll ever see any new official games set in the Thiefverse, whether in the near or remote future... Too bad, I would love to see a sequel to TDS with "you know who" or (even better) a modern noir remake, set in a pseudo-1930s incarnation of the verse...
As for Eidos - if they'll survive, I don't think they're going to return to Thief without a good reason. Contrary to the official blurbs, I doubt they consider it one of their main "workhorses".

The HR person there (at that time) had no knowledge of DromEd, TTLG, T2X, or anything remotely related LGS.
I wouldn't expect an HR person to know anything about that, especially DromEd.

For starters, it's in Montreal - ever been to Montreal? If you don't speak French, it's very, very, very, very, very hard to get by, much less work in an environment where you're lucky if 50% of the folks are bi-lingual (as I was told was the case).
Voyons donc.. c'est pas si pire que ça.
Besides, takeover or no takeover, any damage that had to be done is already done. No amount of duct tape will fix it.
I really need to get a telescope over here to spy on their offices.
