Ah, that's great to hear. Glad to know that gog is doing what needs to be done to make these games run on modern systems ;)
By .dll registration, I assume you mean the indeo codec being registered, or did you guys (or will you guys) implement a new way to play the videos?
Edit: Nevermind, I apparently missed the posts on page 4 of this thread that discuss re-registering the video codec, sorry.

Well I guess there won't be any source release ever now. What will "the scene" do? Release an executable patch that modernizes/adds stuff? (I mean better multiplayer integration, graphics and bug fixes, and whatever else, not the long solved problems of running on Windows Vista/7/8/multicore/widescreen, etc.)

Explain the logic behind this statement. I'm going to bet now that it's tenuous at best.

Similarly tenuously, I'd have thought that with the increased interest with the GoG releases that something similar to the Unreal Engine 1 source code release in 2003 might be wrangleable. I think it's in everybody's interests that Thief runs as well as possible on modern computers.

Doesn't seem like it would be an issue, but has anyone run the GoG versions of Thief through a stress test, as far as playing FMs, using Darkloader/Garrettloader, running any of the graphics/audio patches or packs, using scripts, running Dromed, etc.?

I picked up the GOG version of Thief Gold (my disks are quite old, and I wanted a digital copy). I applied the TGfix patch suggested on the GOG forum, played through the entire game again (probably the 5th or 6th time now), and have been catching up on the last few years' worth of Thief Gold FMs using Darkloader. Everything seems to be working just fine.

Nowhere near as amazing as your own hobby of posting a lot of nothing. :laff:

At least he does it in 10 words or less.
