Wow, you made it up the stairs?
That is the end. It's a twist ending.
I did get partly up the stairs I ducked. Then the Mission ended. No cross bones. I replayed the end after I did another and it worked. Good ending actually.:ebil: Thanks for the clarification.

I must comment on this very nice mission, now that I've completed it. It started out as my "hands-down-contest-winner" with it's uniquely well-written story expressed very convincingly in the readables (I'm a father of 3 girls, so this particular story hit home with me). But, when the
forced fighting started, it lost a great deal of it's appeal.
My final feeling wasn't positive, I'm sorry to say.
Guess I'm a sucker for a happy ending when it comes to young girls.
That said, the author, without question, most definitely moved me emotionally in the earlier parts of the mission with the readables. I honestly found myself physically sneering in hate-filled disgust at one point. Yes, SNEERING! That is a sincere rarity, and I congratulate you! :thumb: :)

I've made it through the basement, to the house -
I looked behind the bed, but I'm not sure what the lever changes...
little help?
The lever moves the grate blocking the fireplace
(In case you all didn't know) I am the author of this mission. I wanted to make something a little different than most and I didn't want to use Garrett.
I got the "little girl" inspiration from real life. I am about to become a father in a month or so and at the time a began this mission, my daughters name was going to be Christine. We have now changed it to Natalie. (I hope it had nothing to do with showing my wife this mission :erg:) Anyway thank you all for your kind words and thanks for voting. I actually did better in the contest than I expected. :thumb:
If you DID like the ending, or it seemed a little familiar, I got the inspiration from WilliamTheTaffer's Deceptive Perceptions.
I'm thinking of making a follow-up mission as the father of Christine that takes place at the same time as The Fever. That or have the mission continue past the end (If you survive :ebil:) I've currently got so much to do now, however. The Chain Project, my campaign with Drysil, voice acting, work... Not to mention having a child...
Anyway thanks again for the encouragement...:thumb:

No kidding !? :cheeky:
Congratulations to the future father, and thanks for such a great fm. It was in my top 5, I'm a little disapointed by the fact it's not in the general top 5, but oh well...
Keep going, taffer !

I think that I also voted for Fever, but I'm not sure. I liked that mission very much and enjoyed it.
Congratulations, Random Taffer! Keep on your good work!

I'm not sure if I really ended the mission in a right way.
First, when I found Wendy healthy again, I jumped over the balcony and hit the two guards who were patrolling outside.
But I couldn't get any further from this point.
So I started up a previous safe and went downstairs to find the scroll on the wall.
Right after I read that one the mission ended.
I'm sure I heard some voice saying: SAVE ME, SAVE ME ... when I was in the area where the guards were, so I assumed I had to climb up these roofs with raining falling down, to save a "blue warning child robot" . But
:nono:
I found 5 ape(haunt)beasts in this mission, three when you first enter the garden and two at the end, when reading the scroll.
BTW: I got to hit the first three quit easily: Just climb on the pedestal, where the dead body is lying (in the garden) and hit them from above. They'll don't know what hit them  :p
Very nice mission! Congratulations :thumb:

I grabbed a crate before going through the portal so I could check out the streets. :D
I wish I could have finished playing all of the SSR missions in time to vote. I would have voted for this one as #2, I really loved it.

Clever Bastard!
Actually you're not even supposed to be able to go into the street...
As for the "Save me, Save me" thing. You have a very good imagination! :joke:
