I agree, I literally cried reading some of the books in this mission:

Brother Avalus and I spotted a thief today and gave chase. He sprinted off into the library and closed the door behind him. We tried to open the door but the thief was blocking the way. Second edit: I give up. A new version should be released which actually makes this thing frobbable.

Well it doesn't for me, no matter what angle I look at it.
And I'm pretty certain my Thief 2 install isn't "borked" - this is the first time I've had "game system"-related problems with any fan mission.

and Water talismans. And I discovered the scroll after a lot of backtracking.

As far as I can tell, the gate won't open from that side. You need to unlock the remaining lock, from the other side, first. [spoiler]Which is possible after a bit of crate-stacking.[/spoiler]

Would anyone be kind enough to provide a save game with the secret door this "ship wheel" opens, open? It's clear that this is otherwise a very well built fan mission, and I'm intrigued to see the rest of it.

hehe, i just did that. two talismans now. still can't figure out how to [SPOILER]get the statue on the other side to move, to access the other upper levels.[/SPOILER] aaargh.

You're not alone. I have the exact same problem! There are also 4 small hammers in the coffins that i think is loot that i can't frob.
