I completed it in Unseen mode, but not ghost. The AI had exceptional hearing ability. Two places I could not ghost were dropping boulders underwater and getting out at the end.
All told, design and game play of this one are among the best. Bravo! :)
I am at the vault and I can't seem to get it open. I followed the sequence and it still doesn't open. I did acidentally mess with the buttons and things on the main panel. Does anyone know if they have to be in a certain position for the door to open?
Nightwalker on 26/3/2006 at 15:52
I don't think that would mess anything up. You need to open the panel in the hallway between the vault room and the guard room. "Use" the drill bit once, the broom twice and then the drill bit again on the turning gear. Each time, you should hear a solid "thunk" sound. When the sequence is completed, you should hear a "click" like a lock that you've picked open. You have a VERY short time to get out to the vault door before it closes again, so you need to enter the code to open the door to the vault room ASAP. Perhaps you're just not getting out there quickly enough?

Yup! I was doing it wrong.
I was doing the wrong sequence. You can do four drill bit/ knife thingy's and get thunk sounds but it doesn't open that way. I'm off to do it the right way.
Thanks Nightwalker.

Thanx, Nightwalker - I couldn't have done it without your definitive spolier.
Now how do I get out of here now?
Am I supposed to use the elevator (which I can't get to start)?
Really enjoyed this mission. There are really some terrific entries in this contest.
Anyway, I'm probably just being a bonehead (as opposed to being a bonehoard) but I found it impossible to:
drop the rocks after picking them up down in the cave-in in the underwater tunnel. If I picked up a rock it stayed in the ready position but I could not drop or throw it. What was I doing wrong? I finished the mission without this but just wondering also, is there anything past the rocks or any need to clear them?
@essaniael:
Just step onto the elevator and if you've completed all other objectives the mission should end. Don't forget if you found Tanner's journal, you have to press the alarm button before getting into the lift to meet that objective. The best way I found is to hide back in the dark corner, peek around the corner and send a noisemaker down the hall towards the vault, then head for the lift when the guards leave the room, frobbing the alarm button on my way.
@Griffin:
I had no problems dropping the boulders, but I found I generally had to swim out of the tunnel and throw them into the larger, deeper area to be able to drop them. All it leads to is a shortcut to the water pool in the area where the mask of Mantu is found, and you can get there by coming around the other way.
