You can stack items. For example, if you take the flame thrower, put it in your inventory and leave it there. Then you click and drag it over to the info box. Then, with out leting the mouse button go, you hit F1, or whatever you are using for your inventory button. Then go over to an item on the ground and click like you are going to pick it up. it will appear underneith the flame thrower. You can fit up to 8 space ov dtuff under the flamethrower before you have to do it again. for instance, do the drag thing, than pick up an assult rifle and assult shotgun. That will have filled the the 8 spaces under the thrower. then go back to the inventory, do the drag thing again and pick up say... Dragon tooth sword. it will apear under the flame thrower and both assult weapons. you can continue to stack more under this like the pump shotgun and a baton. Then you would have to drag again. Expirement, you can end up with your entire inventory under eight spaces. however I warn you, the only way to access an item is by dropping everything on top of it or by having an empty space in your belt. I myself consider this a habit of cheating but if you have nothing agaist that, then go ahead.

I find it useful for packing small items that most people seem to carry -- the knife, pistol, and cigarettes (and maybe the crowbar). I just don't like to leave bodies lying about ...
