Effing hell.
You have to scroll down to read this clearly.

6th paragraph says: employees are speculating that the closure is due to either Grigorovich being unhappy with the way the development of STALKER 2 is going, or due to an interest being shown towards the company by a certain (doesn't say which) law enforcement agency for the past 2 months.
Sounds like par for the course corruption stuff.

There is no money in games where you don't have follow-arrows. Everyone knows that.

This just doesn't make any sense. SOC sold 5 million copies worldwide, don't tell me they're not profitable at those levels. And saying they couldn't get a console deal done, that's just weak, there's no reason it shouldn't get done.
Something else going on here, I think.
dethy, that's just obnoxious. Don't turn into Shadowhide.

This from PC gamer:
Quote:
A Ukranian news site is reporting that the developers of Stalker and Stalker 2, GSC have shut down their studio. An “informed source” told them that founder and CEO, Sergei Grigorovich made the announcement at a staff meeting, saying that the company was closing because of unspecified “personal reasons.”
I know that doesn't say much, "personal reasons" could be just about anything, but it still sounds kinda strange to put it that way.

Well, demagogue's post outlines a couple of potential reasons for it. They're pretty ugly reasons all of 'em, but it wouldn't be surprising if that 'thwack' is the sound of one of them smacking into a small red circle on a board.
