Tried it, it's actually an interesting game because the entire game is fairly complex, but each player only has to know their own station so it's easy to learn. Although the last time I played, the game had some balance issues, namely that nukes were the be-all and end-all of combat.

IIRC, the regular game has you defending three or four starbases against five to eight groups of about 4 ships each. If you go toe to toe with a group, you'll take a lot of damage, run out of power, and get stomped. Or, you can hang back, chuck a nuke, and get out some marshmallows for the ensuing fireball that marks the former location of the enemy fleet. Then fly back to base to juice up and grab another nuke, and do it again.
