Looks like a cartoony 2D Splinter Cell but plays more like a combination of N, Rick Dangerous and Super Meat Boy. Of course it's slightly reminiscent of The Art of Theft as well, but that's unavoidable. The controls are as solid as they are simple and it looks fantastic. There are even dynamic shadows which you will need to use to create improvised shade to hide in at a few points. It's quite insane that they're giving this game away for free, I would pay good money for this. Anyway, enough blabbering from me, go (
http://www.stealthbastard.com/) download it!

When I was playing Trilby I was thinking it could use some platforming, and now we have it. Looks fun.

My favourite level so far has been 2-7, "TripleChocChipped". Since there were no videos of it on youtube I made my own and uploaded it, (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLQoRcpc8ag) here.
Level 2-4, "Crunch", had me laughing at how evil it was. :D
I'm a few levels into the third pack right now. 4 levelpacks all in all as far as I can tell which seems a bit short. Good thing it has a leveleditor. :)
edit: 3rd levelpack done. Will save #4 until tomorrow.

Why is noone posting in this thread? If I know you lot as well as I think I do it's because even if you downloaded it yesterday but you haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Poor little StealthBastard-1.04.exe is sitting in your download folder by itself, unloved and forgotten. Don't neglect it any longer, install it now! Do it!
I just finished it. In the last level, 4-7 "AllGoodThings", the game really lives up to it's name. It's bastard-hard. If not for the checkpoints spread throughout that level I would dare call it Super Meat Boy-hard even.

Ha, shows how much you know. I downloaded AND installed it.
And then forgot about it completely. Oh well, now I need to remember where I shoved it. Why is modern computing so hard? :(

Nowt! Tis free!
It's really good fun, but it's more of a VVVVVV/Super Meat Boy platformer than a stealth game. Also, this game now makes my game, (
http://create-games.com/project.asp?view=main&id=2107) Gun Bastard, look like some kind of shameless name ripoff! Bastards!

I leave the install files on my desktop. It's not going anywhere, eventually I *will* get sick of it sitting there, and then I will install it and play it.
