What gun would you guys prefer and why?
I would choose the regular pistol because it does alot more damage than the stealth pistol. I would rather go for a clean headshot with my regular pistol and get done with it. During my last game I had many issues with my stealth pistol when it was unable to take a trooper down in one headshot. What do you guys think?

I dunno. I'm a stealth player, so I was always partial to the stealth pistol. However, being a stealth player I used the riot prod and mini-crossbow the most. The pistol I barely touched.
I'm currently playing a non-stealth game of DX. Its funny having such a heavily modified assault rifle. Imagine 20 bullets pouring into someones head. Silently.

I hate loud noises.

Absynthe, what kind of modifications are you talking about for the assault rifle? Doesn't it only shoot in bursts of 4's? Last time I played the game I was a Pistol-strict player, I used rifle-type weapons from time to time, but it wasn't my hobby.
What's the point in playing non-lethal? I understand there are some things in it for you, such as ammo which Carter gives to you if you don't kill too many people, but since you won't use that ammo... Do you get special bonuses from your boss...? Do you only get around the tanks or do you try to take one down with a riot prod and a baton? :)
Nupraptor, I hate loud noises too, but sometimes the stealth pistol just isn't enough! I would rather have the chance of taking a target down with a loud noise; most of the time others aren't around to hear it.

Two quick bullets to the back of the head with the stealth pistol (trained) usually takes care of regular troopers for me. I like putting a scope on it. I haven't tried it with the MJ12s in their bat-wing gear, and I'm pretty sure it would only irritate the MiBs.

Stealth Pistols are better, and I think a lot of people here would agree with me. Just hit him two times in the head with the Stealth Pistol, does the trick all the time. And if you get Pistol's to Advanced level, you only need one hit to make a takedown.
Believe me, Stealth Pistols take some getting used to, but they are better once you do.

MDA, at trained the scope is pretty shaky, how can you deal with that?
Fanatix, usually these 2 quick shots aren't quick enough, when I get to do it, the guys turn around or run off before I can shoot the other one.
Well its too late I invested in my Pistol already :P

I generally stick with the stealth pistol, but only if it has an operable laser sight.
Some quirk in the game ruins the effect of the laser if you mount a scope on the same weapon; you still get the pretty red dot, but you no longer get the "bullet-goes-where-dot-is" effect of the lasersighted but not-scoped weapon. My first game I "ruined" my stealth pistol midway through and didn't know why. :)
Anyway, that laser sight is my best friend because you honestly don't have to deal with the gradually closing crosshairs; you can drop people from across the room with two very quick taps.
The rate of fire combined with the perfect accuracy of the working laser sight is what I like about the stealth. The standard pistol can benefit just as much from a laser (again, only if you don't put a scope on it), and it does more damage per shot, but it's noisy and the rate of fire is too slow for a busy firefight. Having played completely through the game using both, I have to say that I definitely prefer the stealth pistol to the standard issue. You will have to double-tap everyone but pistol ammo isn't exactly scarce and you can always fall back on the extremely flexible crossbow in any event. :)

I haven't had that much trouble with drift at trained level. However, I usually find a place to hide where I can't easily be found and take my time with the shot. I'd get too nervous in the open and probably blow it. If my first shot is on target with the scoped pistol, the second never seems to miss. The trick is to fire the second shot off as quickly as possible.

On master pistols the stealth pistol is pretty good, BUT the regular pistol scoped at the head can take out MiBs. while the Stealth pistol cannot.
     :p ;) Sorry went button crazy.
Also with the stealth pistol I was mad that enemies even just regular soldiers were just laughing at my stealth pistol if I shot anywhere but the head. With my other pistol There is no doubt I think the damage is incorrectly shown for the stealth pistol. What do you guys think?
Also WHY CAN'T YOU PUT A SILENCER ON A REGULAR PISTOL. THAT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!!!!!!
