Stealth - without a doubt. I heard here from someone that MIBs don't go down when hit by the stealth. I've done just that several times - with two shots into the small of their necks from directly behind. I've also taken down commandos with two hits (sometimes one if I'm lucky) but ALWAYS from directly behind and at nearly point blank range. Naturally this takes practice and a willingness to sneak around rather than run and shoot, but stealth is what I'm about anyhow. I also always keep an eye for explosive barrels and use them when necessary. Actually, though I've tried the regular pistol, I always throw it away once I pick it up from a dead body. Normal pistol if there's nothing else, when I'm pretty damned (alarms set off with 2 MIBs and 13 MJ12s swarming for you...thats pretty crappy)
and stealth w/scope when I feel like blowing barrels next to enemies.

Actually the only thing that could attract enemy attention when you use the stealth pistol is a corpse or a death-scream. In the Paris Catacombs for example I took down a regular trooper with one shot and as a commando ran to investigate the body I took him down with two shots in the head from my hiding spot. What makes me curious is that the commandos don't go down after two head shots from it for some people, maybee because I have maxed out accuracy and accuracy range but even when I got rushed at the missile silo by two commandos and two MiBs in the dark corridor it only took eight bullets to kill them. I think that a lot of the problem could come from the accuracy range...

i don't even use a pistol but in my pistol section i keep a cross bow. it is silenced, small, if you use the tranq darts they hurt them after they have been hit, have more base damage, and have flare darts, oh and they are the only range weapon you can fire underwater.

Just silence the assault rifle, you can't have more killing capacity and stealth at the same time.
I never use the stealth pistol, it's too weak for my taste. And I've never had problems with the normal one's noise...

that is also true and the scilenced sniper rifle is good too
