Holy shit where did (
http://store.steampowered.com/) this come from? Don't remember any sale like this last year. Today there's Portal 2, TDU2, DNF, ME2, CODBLOPS, Oddbox, Renegade Ops, and a bunch others going for cheapbux. Capitalism, ho!

Capitalism ho!
You called? (when there's a sale on anyway)

Yeah. Quite a surprise.

They did a Thanksgiving sale last year too, and it was treasure hunt themed. Don't you remember?

Might as well ask here: What DRM doed Mass Effect have on Steam? The game page says "INTERNET CONNECTION AND END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT REQUIRED TO PLAY. MORE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT WWW.EA.COM.", but I remember this one having some limited activation kind of thing back then, and I don't know how does that interact with Steam, if it's still there. EDIT: Origin page says "INTERNET CONNECTION, ONLINE AUTHENTICATION, AND END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT REQUIRED TO PLAY.", which isn't much more than the info on Steam...

Nope Sulph, I do not remember that.
TDU2 and DNF are giving me the flirty-eyes. My resistance is weakening. Might just buy the both of them tomorrow. Don't wanna buy anything right away because Steam might be a bit glitchy in the first few hours of the sale.

I would recommend (
http://store.steampowered.com/app/102600/) Orcs Must Die! (and the DLC) at the non-sale price. At €3.49 you really should consider looking at it.
Grabbed Achron and Jamestown (the pack with DLC + Soundtrack) so far.

Malleus -- I had no issue running Mass Effect even when my internet occasionally cut out.
Get ready for a bitch of a time getting the DLC going though...
Malleus on 23/11/2011 at 21:23
Thanks, yeah, I searched some more and it seems it has no securom, and the EA stuff is needed only for the DLC. I don't really care about that, so it should be fine.

Sadly, there's barely any point in me buying things. OMD is a great deal, for instance, but if I wanted to play a tower defense game I haven't even touched Sanctum. Repeat for most types of games.
That said, there is some stuff from my wishlist - Avadon for $5! Tiny Bang Story for $2.50! - that I am definitely buying if they're not on a daily sale.
