Hi
I recently downloaded thief 1 and 2 from steam as it has been a nightmare trying to get it to work using my original cds on windows 7. I always loved this amazing game. Its been about 12 years since i have used dromed and for some reason when loading my own level into the editor i can test the game fine but when i quit thief dromed closes too i dont remember this happening years ago, it doesnt appear to be a crash either as no error message appears. i have to say steam dromed looks a lot more modified than i remember with much more menu options. also the editor only seems to run in 800x600 and if you change the config to 1024x768 it goes full screen with no menus. another thing i noticed is that you cant move though the editor with the w,a,s,d keys anymore. either im doing something wrong or is it just not compatible with newer os?
if anyone can shed any light on this would be appreciated thanks

If you are testing your mission in dromed by using Alt-g and then use the normal exit out of Thief then it will quit dromed. When you test a mission in dromed you are actually using dromed.exe not thief2.exe so you would exit by using Alt-e.
If the w,a,s,d, keys don't work I would first check the Caps lock. Second I would check the user.bnd file to make sure those keys aren't missing.

Haha. Actually funny thing you said that about brushes etc, i have encountered a problem when trying to resize room brushes. When either moving by holding down shift or changing the size by holding down ctrl and clicking with the mouse causes the brush to scroll up the screen which is really annoying, i never encountered all this kinda stuff years back it just worked lol has anyone else had this issue?

Can TafferPatcher be used on an existing install to fix these problems? Or do you need the CDs?
