Thanks for the heads up -- I think I'll finally jump on the Mass Effect I + II wagon. (The same behind-the-moon way as with Half-Life and the Orange Box...)

Highlights from today's deals: Mass Effect games 50% off, Alpha Protocol for 7,50€, Dead Rising 2 for 20€.
Hmm... I played the first mission of Alpha Protocol but wasn't that impressed by the story nor the gameplay. But then it has been getting same strong endosements on here recently. If anyone wants to try to persuade me to buy it I'm all ears!

Grabbed Alpha Protocol & Darksiders from today's deals. I've yet to install them, as I already have the F.E.A.R. & Deus Ex packages along with various other games from this holiday sale waiting for me to play.

The first mission? You mean the training one? You don't really experience most of the story or gameplay until several missions in, after you get out of Saudi Arabia at the very least.

Just wanted to say The Witcher looks great so far. I'm still on the first bit and I'm already groaning a little bit at the slog I can see this is going to be (I've looted so much stuff already), but at least it's going to look nice whilst I slog along.
Having said that I've also just got Crysis (just pre the sale but whatever) and that looks drool!
Does the suit ever get powered up though because I can't jump jeeps like in the trailers?

So how's OpFlashpoint: Dragon Rising? It's only 3€ with 85% off, which is quite huge.

It's not as good as the Bohemia games in some ways (scope, vehicles, ballistics) better in others (squad commands, atmosphere, air strikes!!!11). Some people think the missions are boring, but I enjoyed the campaign despite it's somewhat short length (and it's better than the 'one man vs an army' bullshit that Bohemia usually relies on). For $3 I think it's a steal. If you know someone who already has it, the co-op is fabulous; you can play through the entire campaign with someone else.

You don't really experience most of the story or gamplay until after you beat the game and a nice little cinematic pops up shows you all the cool things they could have implemented into the game, but didn't.
discplaimer: i never played alpha protocol

The credit roll is based on what you did during the game (with more detail/complexity than any of the Fallout games) so I can't really insult it.
