Hey, Dead Island is cheap. Forgot that game even existed.

Clicked on Fly'N in today's flash sale to see what it was. After my initial "oh no, it's not ponies is it?" reaction, it's so obviously made by some of the same people who came out with Soul Bubbles on the NDS. I might give it a shot.

If I've already got the main game on DVD, would the expansion work with it (if I bought it from Steam, that is)?
Hrm, I don't think so:

Notice: Titan Quest Immortal Throne requires the Steam version of Titan Quest to play.

Hey, btw, why do we have a "Through The Looking Glass"
and a "TTLG-kru" group on Steam?
All this time and I never checked if we had a group on steam. Joined up now.

You would need install your DVD game and then add it to steam first I think. (Games -> Add a non-steam game to my library)

No, that wouldn't work. Steam would need a local installation in its steamapps folder, one that's registered with Steam. Face it, folks: Tomi's not getting TQ's expansion unless he buys both on Steam.
In other news: Fly'N. It does seem like some sort of MLP boondoggle from a distance; but what it really is, when you play it, is Botanicula if development had rotated a complete 90 degrees midway, and it became a platformer. I can see bits of Eversion/the new Gianna Sisters game and Rayman in its make-up, but that mash-up works surprisingly well. The gameplay doesn't feel as tactile as Super Meat Boy or Dustforce, but it's still pretty damn good. The graphics, though, are what sell this: the game is gorgeous. The soundtrack's fantastic, too.
Did I mention the villain? The villain in this game is... a blowdryer. That's the real reason I picked this up. Everything else was icing on the cake.

Just watched the launch trailer.
I have to have it.

Picked up a couple of titles I've been wanting.
Got Spec Ops. While I don't play modern war shooters (personal reasons), I've heard about this one that tempt me to make an exception. 75% off Darksiders 2 was also a steal. I've wanted that game for a long time, but was waiting for the price to go down

Same here. I have a dislike of modern day shooters, but that one interested me since it goes off in a slightly more sci-fi direction so I picked it up since it was only $10 (here on the Aus version of steam anyway).
I had been hoping for a decently discounted XCOM or The Darkness 2 to pop up, but it looks like its not to be so I'll be trying my luck in the boxing day specials tomorrow.
