FTL is 50% off now, just after I gifted it for a friend, typical eh? ;) It's a bargain at full price, £3.49 is a steal.
Came to see if anyone had mentioned Spec Ops the line, so thank you Spitter, I'm prepared for it not being a great game but it sounds interesting enough to justify the current price. I haven't found much out about Thirty Flights... but the comments I've seen have been overwhelmingly positive. It's only £1.99 now, so I'll have that too. And I'm keeping my on Miasmata, currently 25% off, I will probably buy it at that price if it's not in a flash/daily sale before 5 Jan.

I just snatched (and completed) Thirty Flights of Loving which was like 3 bucks and came with Gravity Bone I didn't realize. Putting down my thoughts in the what are you playing thread.

Thirty Flights of Loving takes about 20 minutes to play through, another 20 for the directory commentary, and contains almost 0 actual game in it. It's funny, clever and an exercise at minimalistic storytelling. I loved it, your mileage may vary.
I grabbed FTL since it's now on sale and got my ass kicked by the flagship. It seems lovely, but I hope it won't always play as 7 sectors of piss-easy and then a brick wall of a boss fight.

I hope nobody bought XCOM from Steam so far because it's 17.5 euros on GMG ... just saying for those who are interested...

Believe me, it isn't. Or don't believe me, and play a bit more. You'll soon find out :)

Is Thirty Flights of Loving a Quake 2 mod like Gravity Bone? If not, what engine? Does it run on a similarly spec'd machine you think? I have never heard of the game, but I just finished GB last week and had a good time with it.

Correct. When I bought TFoL it actually came with Gravity Bones you can play straight from the main menu, so it's all the same game/engine, just different "level."
