i got AAAAAAaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!, clear sky (worst STALKER game still > everything), armoured princess. Everything else I already have or can get cheaper through retail. But damn, those Collection Packs are tempting.
And I can't imagine that developer make losses on steam sales, they now ask for the price you would pay in retail if looking long enough, it aint a real discount, more like a short time of honesty ;)

I bought Stalker SoC for a friend for $2. I love Christmas.

Shitcakes.
I now have about twice as many games in the cloud as I do on the shelf.

What the hell!
This sale is amazing. So many games I missed for so little! Its so wrong! :D

End of year sales plus credit card on file = much money being spent.
Wonder how much the devs actually see of these uber sales though.

But at the end of the day after I buy the game that's where my caring about a developer stops in most cases. They likely earn far more money than I do, so I won't lose any sleep if they got a smaller cut of of the retail sale than they normally would've if something was at full price.
I wouldn't count on it. For every 2D Boy or Jonathan Blow there are tons of indie devs who are not nearly as succesful, and even the aformentioned people aren't exactly rolling in riches. Depends on the game, I suppose. Arkham Asylum, sure. Osmos, not so much.
Anyway, I just bought Defense Grid for $2.50, Ghost Master for $2 and Ghostbusters for $6.80. Yum.
A little bitter that I bought some of these games (Braid, Aaaaaa) at $15 not so long ago, but I'm glad to support the devs, so no biggy.

The Arkham Asylum gang is one of those funny ones. You must surely have to front a good deal of scratch to even get into a meeting about using the Batman license. Far more than the kind of money most people consider 'Indie' to imply.
But that's beside the point.

God dammit, Steam. The Void and the Unreal pack (I already have UT99 and 2k4, but not Unreal or Unreal 2, and I need UT3 for the Mirror's Edge editor hack) purchased. Hopefully tomorrow won't bring any other irresistible items.
And does anyone else have issues buying through the Steam client? I get 'Your credit card company has declined the transaction' every time, even if I use PayPal instead of my card. No problems just buying through the site, though.

I purchased The Void, which has had something of a recent buzz surrounding it, and i also got the Lucasarts Adventure pack. I've already finished Loom, Last Crusade, and Fate of Atlantis (x3), but the only game of those three that I actually own is Fate, and I've never actually played The Dig, so this sale is just bacon-flavored goodness all over.

The Steam sale is pure-awesome.
I just bought:
Painkiller: Black Edition
Ghostbusters
Oddworld Pack
Eidos Collection Pack
All in all very happy! :cheeky:
