I'm enjoying DeadSpace so far btw guys. So glad I listened to dethtoll and Eva and didn't get it for PS3. Mouseaim ftw indeed.

Good man. I recommend if you're playing on Hard that you upgrade the Stasis module a bit, it's essential on the two highest difficulties.

I know that you're being facetious, but I have to say that I found Dead Space impossible to enjoy on Normal difficulty, it was just too easy. Bumping it up to Hard did the trick though, it felt like a true horror game. I actually had to manage my ammo usage effectively, the melee stomp became a necessary tactic. A Necromorph mob was actually a real threat.
There was one TTLG'er who lost his save so I sent him mine, he was alarmed by how much tougher the game was on Hard.

If?
IF?
who you think you talkin to boy dont you know that effect always plays all games on the hardest difficulty from the start?
Yeah, I already upgraded the statis module as I recognised its usefulness when battling those crawling and jumping mofos. Walkers are fine, but its harder to dismember the crawlers.
And what the shit is this? The new deals have Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor AGAIN but this time its £2 CHEAPER! That's almost a beer! ffffffuuuuuuuuu
Also - Jade Empire. Can a Sinophile like me really not get this for £2.25? I hear some people hate it, others not so much. Verdict guys? And does anyone know if the Indigo Prophecy is the nerfed US version or the full on sexy times UK Fahrenheit version?

Kick ass, some sweet 24h deals today.
First off
Stormrise is reportedly is one of the most broken and unfinished games of 2009, avoid like the plague.
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valour - $7.50USD - 75% offIf you're interested in just the MP, ToV is a stand-alone product and has all of the factions unlocked by default, no need to own the previous titles.
Jade Empire: SE - $3.75 USD - 75% offA Bioware RPG ported from Xbox 1, with new content (eg enemies) and PC specific optimisations that take advantage of the platform (eg higher resolution textures). I've yet to play this particular one but have heard a lot of mixed things about it. Either way that's a terrific price that next to one would lose sleep over if they find the game to be a lemon.
Mr. Robot - $2 USD Indie isometric adventure/platforming/puzzle-solving thingy from indie developer Moonpod. Demo (
http://www.moonpod.com/externaldownloads.php?f=InstallMrRobot.exe) here. (
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=157682) KIERON GILLEN said that it was "the most enjoyable independent game I've played since Defcon”.
King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame - $20 USD - 50% offI dunno much about this recently released game, but (
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/12/07/wot-i-think-king-arthur/) RPS did a meaty write-up on it. 1.85GB demo (

EDIT: LOL, took too long authoring that post. Damn PDA keypads.

Link? I might want me some Mr. Robot.
nvm, should have guessed it was Valve/Steam.

Stormrise is the first truly 3D, next-gen RTS that, via the 3rd person camera perspective, puts you directly in the action. No other RTS game combines this level of immersion and emotional intensity with the scale and depth of a strategy game.
surely with a pitch like that its worth getting?
(yes, I'm being sarcastic - and yes, I need to get back to finishing Sacrifice)
Edit: People on the steam forums are saying it's not even a reduced price for today. Pretty poor of Valve to put it in the "Special Deals" list if that's the case.
