CoH and DoW are good games. Their expansions are like novels in Dune universe after Dune itself: The farther you go, the more you notice you're deeper and deeper in shit.

Hmm. I liked DoW, hated the first expansion, but liked the last expansion (didn't really play the one in the middle much).

Yeah, I liked the campaign map and wargear they introduced in the last couple of campaigns. The maps could have just done with more variety, a criticism equally applicable to DoWII.

Actually Koki CoH: Opposing Fronts is a great expansion/standalone. I play CoH MP a lot and the 2 new factions introduced in OF are an interesting take on the CoH MP mechanic. I don't have ToV so I don't use the new units in MP but I fight alongside/against them and they are fine. I've not heard bad reports about the SP either.
In summary: you're full of shit again you cock gobbling pusillanimous troll.

Titan's Quest isn't bad from what little I've played of it so far.
AxTng1 on 27/11/2009 at 15:56
Games that are definately good in this pack:
S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Saints Row 2
Titan Quest (if you like Diablo + Classical Mythology)
Games that I hear good things about:
DoW
CoH
Games that are admittedly poo but you should play anyway:
Red Faction
WTF?:
Juiced?
Slightly annoyed that I can't regift my superfluous TQ&IT, but that's how it rolls.

I'm going to say it - I really like Steam. It effectively lets me store my games online and means I have to wait a few hours tops for any game which comes out.
The only bad point I can see is that it means I'll impulse buy a lot more.
Ouch.
(THQ pack - yoink!)
CCCToad on 27/11/2009 at 16:33
Bah. I'm trying to save money, but I see no way of NOT buying this, there's simply too many good strategy games in there.
Heck, its about 200 bucks worth of games for 50 bucks asking, so even not counting the games which I have no intention of ever playing(Saints Row and the original Red Faction) and the ones which I can't play on this laptop (Dawn of war 2) I come out very far ahead.
Good thing payday rolls around on the far side of this weekend.
