Mirror's Edge for $5? Chomp!
6+ gigabytes later, this is a gorgeous game, and it runs great on my system!
This training level is pretty fun so far. Now, for my first mission!
EDIT: man, fuck this game

What effortless dichotomy! What palpable perfidy! Serendipitous at first, all dulcet tone and honeyed lave, but afoul at last, affecting naught but treacherous result!
:erg:
Give it a little time. The controls can be bizarre at first. The first mission usually is quite the hook, though. Strange that it didn't grab you.

I'm kidding with you Sulpher, the game's fun, bone-crunching deaths aside. Guess I have to upgrade my internet humor.

I'm interested in Mirror's Edge, but the trailers kind of make me seasick. Is that just a side effect of not being in control of the 1st person movements, or is it really that bad?

Pretty much. However, they did patch in an aim reticle that helped for some people.

I actually didn't understand that comic for a minute or so. Not once has Mirror's Edge ever made me feel sickāand I played it with the reticule off.

I think it's a personal thing. Some people get sick playing Dead Space because of the weird third-person view (I think there was at least one here who did). Others, like myself, don't.
