I didn't really enjoy the DLC maps too much. I mean, they were beautiful and atmospheric, but once you're done admiring them them you have to go route-hunting, which is actually a little frustrating without the grounding effect a more realistic environment provides.

i got Mirrors for 20euros back in a play.com sale. you can free up activations via uninstalling. and I got me Riddick for 8euros, don't mind the tages for that price and I mainly get it for the remake of the first part, not the lackluster addon.

Mirror's Edge for $5? Chomp!
6+ gigabytes later, this is a gorgeous game, and it runs great on my system!
This training level is pretty fun so far. Now, for my first mission!
EDIT: man, fuck this game
lol :D

mirrors edge is pretty good but has too many shortcomings keeping it from being addictive and above average apart from the good idea/different kind of gameplay imo. it is highly recommended though, especially at low prices.

I think it's a personal thing. Some people get sick playing Dead Space because of the weird third-person view (I think there was at least one here who did). Others, like myself, don't.
Possibly me, though it didn't make me feel sick as such, it just felt ... weird. Disconcerting.
I had absolutely no problem with Mirror's Edge, though.

Seems the sales are over. ZenoClash on the Midweek Madness sale for £3.81 though.
Bought.

I had a feeling that it was either you or JediK, but a quick search reveals that it was not him, so maybe I was thinking of you with a harsher reaction than you actually had.

To be fair, I seem to recall exaggerating and saying it made me feel "seasick".

Well, overall that was a pretty good sale. I got:
Left 4 Dead 2 - awesome! Better than l4d1 in every way possible. I'm really have a ball with this one.
Lucidity - cute; $2.50 is a good price for it. Good for a mellow rainy day or when you're home sick. I just wish they didn't hide the mouse pointer.. it makes placing objects a little awkward.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - I'm not that far so can't say anything about the story, but the interface is terrible. Fracking consoles! Only $2.50 though.
And my brother bought Batman: Arkham Asylum which looks like a whole lot of fun, although the constantly changing viewing angle makes my head spin.

I found that the abstract nature of the DLC maps really made Mirror's Edge's movement system shine, as you had to pay closer attention to the shapes of things to find the most efficient routes, instead of relying on 'oh, that cardboard box next to that stack of sandbags is a springboard' type recognition. Once I got good at the DLC courses, it made the regular courses in both speed run and time trial a bit easier, as well.
