Yeah it's more that. I was thinking about Ruse yesterday, but even $10 is a bit more than I should spend on an RTS since I buy about 50 a year and never play them.

And yeah, I bought DX too.
I'm surprised that you've decided to go legit in recent months. You've also caved on your whole NO PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE RUNTIMES WILL BE INSTALLED stance.

Picked up some ye olde games.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis for old times' sake. This time with a full voice cast (when I played it as a teenager I had the floppy version), though the voice acting is pretty mediocre (LucasArts adventures only started having good voice acting from Full Throttle and onwards). The guy who does Indy is decent but some others are pretty bad.
FlatOut 2 - Immensely fun racing game. I really don't like realistic racing sims, this arcade racing game where you can wreck your car and your opponents' cars in fun ways is more my style. Now just 5 euros. Started the career mode this afternoon, maybe when I get better I'll try some multiplayer races.
Deus Ex - Classic I've always wanted to play. Couldn't resist for 2.50 euros, even if I don't like it it's only 2.50 bucks lost. Tried it out for a bit, seems like fun and fairly complex. But I must say that it's definitely the worst looking Unreal engine game I've ever played, the textures and models really do not look good.

Is anyone interested in giving up a spare Frozen Synapse for an AI War + all expansions?
Full disclosure: this is essentially me trying to weasel a single FroSyn license for the $4.50 that AI War is selling for the next 17 hours. AI War is a good strategy game that will run independently of Steam or any other DRM, and I heartily endorse it.
edit: welp, i done tried :)
edit edit: anyone even remotely interested in AI War should get this. I paid 35 bucks to get what you can for less than five. And I didn't even pay full price for all the expansions.

There's texture and model updates in the works. HDTP, which aims to replace all game objects and a lot of the characters has been in development for centuries, and might even come out some day soon (it's almost done, but very slow-moving). New Vision replaces world textures, and is more likely to come out soon.

There's also a mod that supposedly gives all the maps an update to be less of a jumbled, nonsensical mess.

Damnit. I bought Wings of Prey. I wasn't gonna buy ANY games this sale, but...aw, fuck it.
I'm gonna shoot me up some nazzis.
