Mmmmm? Batman Arkane for under 8 bucks sounds good. This sale is really something. Just got Assassins Creed 2 which seems to be a pretty fine game despite all the hoopla about having to be on online to play. Hasn't bothered me to this point, but we'll see.

I'm pretty sure they patched that out.

They did? The Steam page still talks about a high-speed connection being required and blah blah blah in the small print at the bottom?

NFS: Hot Pursuit is supposed to be pretty good
I was gonna go on a rant about how none of the NFS games have been any good(besides the first one and the Porsche one) but then I decided to actually look at some gameplay footage of this one and found out that it's developed by Criterion Games(the fine folks behind the Burnout games) and that, as they say in the horse painting industry, paints this horse a whole nother color! It looks like fun but it also looks more like something I'd rather play on the 360. Gonna have to try a demo of this one if I can find one.
ANYWAY I think I might, at long last, buy
Left 4 Dead 2.
Questions:
1. Anyone wanna play co-op with me if I get this thing?
2. Is there
any reason to get L4D1 as well if I'm already getting L4D2? (would just cost 2,50€ extra to get the 1+2 bundle)

I haven't played either game in quite some time, but I actually preferred some of the campaigns in the original Left 4 Dead, myself. I'd say everyone ought to play through that one a bit before playing the second one, but... well, you might not find people willing to play it any more, I don't know!
I also felt that the original special infected were the best; Spitters and Jockeys and Chargers didn't really add that much to the game, especially Jockeys which are kind of silly and useless.
Valve did port at least one of the L4D1 campaigns to L4D2, though. Have they done more since?

Yes and yes. They're both good games! What's your Steam nick again?

I have NFS:Hot Pursuit on 360 and it's great. One of those games that's much better played sprawled in front of a big screen.

I can't find out for sure actually. I know I had to use my old Ubi login which was a pain in the ass trying to find.
Anyway, bit the dust and now dl'ing Batman. Wife is not going to be happy as I've spent entirely to much money on games lately.

Ulukai, how does Hot Pursuit compare to the Burnout games? From gameplay videos it looks like the gameplay is
really similar.

Yes and yes.
Coolbeans! Bought. I'm henke on Steam. I have a The Dude avatar. After the sale I'll have about a bazillion games to play through but when it comes time for L4D1&2 I'll let you know and maybe we can get some co-op action going. I see that just about everyone else on my buddy list has these games as well so maybe we can get a whole team together.

Seems I already have you on my list. I don't have the games installed atm because I need the space, but I'll put them back on in a month or so- depends on when I finish the FEAR trilogy runthrough.
