Well, that makes my choice easy then. I'm not interested in the multi, and BFBC2's SP campaign apparently exists in a miniature black hole.
Nothing to buy for today! w00t!

BH it's better than the last 3 CoD of games, and you get destructible scenery.
I wouldn't buy it for the SP though.

How's the singleplayer of BFBC2?
Bad.

You know what? I actually enjoyed the single-player of BFBC2 enough to finish it. It's not great by any means, but I found it pleasant, relaxing in a strange sort of way. And while its humor usually fails, it occasionally comes up with something brilliant; unfortunately most of these moments are hidden. There was one ambush I had to replay about five times, and on the fifth restart my squad had a very long and involved conversation about free will (or something like that) that was actually quite good, leading me to wonder why it had been buried in "random chance" land.
Not worth buying on its own, but worth checking out if you buy the game.

There are a bunch of great idle conversations like that. It's worth taking your time through the campaign for that reason.

Nobody knows because nobody's ever played it.
Wrong. I played it and liked it. But of course, the point of any bad company or battlefield game is the multiplayer, so unless you're not gonna play multiplayer, buy it.

I bought BC2 just for the singleplayer and I'm gonna enjoy it extra much just to spite all the naysayers ITT. I'm gonna be like "HAHAHAHA THIS IS SO GREAT" all the way through it. :sly:
Sulphur on 3/7/2011 at 15:55
Oh yeah? Well I'm gonna buy it and then to spite you in person I'm going to invite you for some co-op and then ram a jeep into you
(oh wait I already did that before)

Spiting you all by not buying that crap and waiting for BF2142 on Steam instead.
With legs on my desk.
And a glass of Sprite.
