Hmmmm. Do I really care enough about the Witcher 2 or will it sit on my list for a year or so and then refuse to run when I do try to play it? (as most have done lately)

Withstood whatever faint urges I had to get Tomb Raider/Hitman Absolution and picked up Mars: War Logs instead. Kind of surprised to see it featured, actually.

Not that it means much, but it's definitely very high up there on one of the best games that I have played. Great story + beautiful graphics + interesting characters + decent gameplay = win. And for $5 you really can't go wrong.
My only advice would be for you to have a quick go at the tutorial, if only to get a feel for the controls, and then skip past it to get straight into the game. I found the tutorial to be one of hardest parts of the game and it turned me off from playing any more of it for some time.

I kind of bounced off Witcher 2. Played through to the first village where you get the quest to kill the weird river creature thing, and I just really wasn't feeling it.
