La-Mulana is like the Dark Souls of platform games, but way more frustratingly punishing. So really good, but you'd need to be a masochist to finish it.

La-Mulana is in a league of its own. Super Metroid is the Dark Souls of platform games. La-Mulana is more in the corner of IWBTG, an unforgiving exercise in controller-snapping frustration.

Nope. Guess again.
Super Metroid is Super Metroid. You want a Dark Souls 2D? Try Rogue Legacy.

I got some good deals, but 3 bad choices. Wish i could switch them with the 3 on my wishlist.
The next sale is winter right?

Next big sale is probably going to be a week or so around Thanksgiving (to match the Black Friday craze in the US).

Ah, darn. I wish I had gotten Dominions 3 and 4. Bad choices I made.

Not the way I played Dark Souls
Although... it is true that Rogue Legacy is probably more in the league of Super Metroid too.

Saints row IV is well worth it at the sale price - get it even if you don't play it immediately.
I ignored the better angels of my nature and got it today. I'll probably be playing it very soon, so I'm not breaking my rule.

Rogue Legacy starts out incredibly fun and refreshing, and quickly devolves into a mind-numbing gold grind that is utterly painful to slog through. The game would be far better if the gold penalty started at 50% and could be reduced down to 25%.

This time round, before making any purchases I asked myself, will I get a chance to play this game before the next sale? If the answer was no then I decided against it. To be honest I didn't find that many games this time round that I was prepared to pay the sale price for and that fit the above criteria, so didn't end up getting many this time. This is also largely due to the fact that I still have many of these discounted titles on my backlog of games from previous sales.
Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition -- not sure if I'll actually play much of this any time soon but have been wanting to play it again for some time.
Guacamelee! Gold Edition
E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy -- got this for free by getting credits from selling some badges.
ORION: Dino Horde -- and this for free as well.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
I was hoping for Thief & Grim Dawn to be offered under $10, and it probably will be by the next sale anyway.
