I already picked it up, but knowing nude skins are on the way makes me that much happier with my purchase.

Precisely why I thought I'd mention it.
Make sure you write down some impressions of the game once you've had a chance to play it a bit - is there a dedicated thread to it already, I can't remember? Very interested in the game, but my backlog is already so huge that I'm probably going to leave buying it until another sale.

Personally, I'm still waiting on both Civ 5 expansions to get a bigger discount than the current 50%. Will definitely be grabbing them then.
Note that most of the gameplay improvements from G&K are included (and upgraded) in BNW. The things unique to G&K are the civilizations and scenarios. Not entirely sure you need both to play with someone else using both.
Then again, if everything CiV goes on a 75% discount, the Complete Edition may be the most sensible thing to grab as it will be cheaper than getting G&K + BNW while including both of those and all the other DLC.

Well, I already own Civ 5 vanilla (got it as a gift). Not sure I can/it's worth getting the full pack?

Thank you so much.

The only reason why I'm not playing it right this second is because savegames won't work when the game goes final on the 30th. If that weren't the case, I'd be playing on it right this second.
But I've got a good 3-4 hours in, which is enough to offer up some initial impressions. I'd say it's very much an oldschool RPG. Like Sulp kinda mentioned earlier, it reminds me most of Ultima VII. It's not
quite as deep, since there are no day/night cycles and corresponding NPC schedules, but it still has that same lively feel to it.
Combat has the potential to be interesting, but the game has been pretty light on fighting towards the beginning. There's are tons of ways you can combine spells and effects, so I could see it as being pretty fun once the challenge really starts kicks in.
Though the best part, to me, would be the setting and the plot (of what little I know of it). The game doesn't take itself completely seriously. It's not slapstick goofy, but it's not dourfaced 100% of the time, either. The end result is something that looks, feels, and acts a little more like an 80's Jim Henson fantasy, moreso than Lord of the Rings.
I don't know how well it holds up over dozens of hours. The game could fall apart after you leave the first city for all I know. But from what I've seen, I recommend it.

Non-discounted prices:
CiV Complete: 39.99€
G&K + BNW: 59.98€
If they have the same percentage discount you'll get a far better deal on Complete.
As far as the ability to buy it while having vanilla CiV, this is the message I get (already owning most of the stuff included) when I add Complete to my cart:
Quote:
Sid Meier's Civilization V: Complete Edition: According to our records, you already own one or more of the items included in this package on Steam. If purchasing for yourself, see the Extra Copies support article to determine whether the items you already own can be shared with friends.
So I'd say yes, you can indeed purchase the Complete edition and get all the stuff if you have vanilla CiV.

Well, if you put it that way...
Cheers.

Gave into temptation and brought Saints Row IV. Had an absolute blast with Saints 3, and this one looks even better.

A pox on regional pricing. I check stuff on the web and then go to the machine with the actual games on it and it costs more!
Admittedly I've only seen it once this sale on something I wanted (Skyrim), but still...

Can you get round it by buying only on the site and using a vpn?
